The history of the Klammer Family in Gastein begins in 1960.
Hans Klammer, born in Carinthia and the owner of a sawmill, wanted to establish a holiday home for his wife Adelheid and the family.
Taken with the beauty of the Gasteinertal, in the true pioneering spirit he laid the foundation stone for a spa and sports hotel and called it KARNTEN (1962) - in attachment to the roots of his family. Today the family flair for the hotel is carried on by the son and his wife - Dr Johannes and Cornelia Klammer. The longed-for grandson Alexander has an occupation he loves: sawing wood. How will
